Apex Capital Takes Over The Clorox Company's Operations in Several Countries
Representing a significant milestone in the Latin American consumer goods market, Apex Capital, in collaboration with Grupo Mariposa, has unveiled its acquisition of The Clorox Company's operations in Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay. This landmark agreement encompasses the acquisition of 100% of the shares of Clorox Argentina S.A., which boasts over 450 employees and two production plants situated in the provinces of Buenos Aires and San Juan.
Continuity and Development
As part of this historic transaction, Clorox Argentina will be renamed "Grupo Ayudín." This name change reflects the continuity and commitment to maintaining the quality and trust of the brands that have been pillars in the region's households.
Grupo Ayudín will continue to operate without interruptions, maintaining the production, development, marketing, distribution, and export of all brands in its current portfolio. Among these brands are household care leaders such as Ayudín, Poett, Trenet, Pinoluz, Agua Jane, Sello Rojo, Mortimer, and Selton.
One of the highlights of this agreement is the commitment to maintaining The Clorox Company's research and development center, as well as its corporate headquarters for Latin America, in Argentina. This decision supports Apex Capital's long-term vision of continuing to invest in the region and generating quality employment.
A New Chapter in the Latin American Industry
Diego Barral, an executive with extensive industry experience, assumes the role of CEO at Grupo Ayudín for Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay. His leadership promises a new stage of growth and development for the brands under the Grupo Ayudín umbrella.
This change of ownership not only ensures the continuity of iconic brands in the industry but also promises to strengthen their presence in the regional market. Pedro Palma, Managing Partner of Apex Capital, expressed his enthusiasm for this partnership and reaffirmed the commitment to protecting the legacy and quality of the products that have been part of consumers' daily lives in the region.
With this acquisition, Apex Capital and Grupo Mariposa consolidate their presence in the consumer goods industry in the region. This transaction not only represents a strategic step for both companies but also marks the beginning of a new era for household brands in Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay.
