Dalus Capital has announced its latest investment in Plenna, a Mexican fintech startup offering a hybrid model for women’s healthcare. The startup just raised a $6 million Series A round to grow its physical and digital services across Mexico.
A fast-growing healthtech with a clear mission
Founded by Lorena Ostos and Giovanna Abramo, Plenna aims to transform how women in Mexico access and experience healthcare. With four clinics currently operating in Mexico City, the company plans to open 13 new branches nationwide as part of its expansion.
This Series A round includes participation from Mazapil, New Ventures, and Karla Berman, an investor and Shark on Shark Tank México. Dalus Capital will also take a seat on Plenna’s board to support its next stage of growth.

Why Dalus Capital invested
Dalus Capital highlighted several reasons behind the decision to back Plenna:
- A strong female founding team with consulting backgrounds and a clear drive to improve healthcare for women.
- A large, underserved market, especially in preventive care, where public health services have declined.
- A hybrid model that combines physical clinics with digital tools, aligned with evolving patient needs.
A growing commitment to healthtech in Latin America
This marks Dalus Capital’s third healthtech investment, following Clivi and eden. The firm sees long-term potential in the sector as consumers across Latin America increasingly embrace digital health solutions and remote care.
Plenna’s expansion reflects a broader trend: as health science and technology converge, new models of care are redefining the healthcare experience in the region.
With this new round of funding, Plenna is well-positioned to scale its hybrid healthcare model and reach more women across Mexico. As the demand for personalized, preventive care grows, Plenna’s approach offers a glimpse into the future of women’s health in Latin America, where innovation, access and impact go hand in hand.
