ALAS Annual Summit 2025 Establishes Curitiba as the Hub of Latin American Innovation

The ALAS Annual Summit 2025 marked a turning point in the history of regional innovation. Held on October 17–18, 2025, in Curitiba, Brazil, the first Annual Leaders Summit of the Latin American Startup Alliance (ALAS) brought together more than 200 leaders from 16 countries, creating a unique space for integration, cooperation, and shared vision for the entrepreneurial future of Latin America.

A Gathering Place for Leaders and Innovators Across the Region

Over two days of intense activity, the summit hosted representatives from governments, investment funds, development banks, accelerators, innovation hubs, and impact-driven startups, all focused on strengthening partnerships and designing joint strategies for a more integrated ecosystem.

ALAS is reinventing the story of Latin American innovation, not as spectators of the future, but as its architects,” highlighted Junior Rodrigues, President of ALAS, during the opening of the event.

The agenda took place in iconic venues such as the Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná (PUCPR) campus and Hotmilk, its renowned innovation hub. Attendees participated in panels, plenaries, technical visits, and cultural experiences that consolidated Curitiba as a model of an innovative and sustainable city.

Two Days of Learning, Collaboration, and Immersive Experiences

Highlights included visits to unicorns MadeiraMadeira and Olist, as well as tours of the city’s main innovation hubs driven by Vale do Pinhão.

The days concluded with networking sessions at Pinhão Hub and Hard Rock Café Curitiba, where leaders from across the region shared ideas, lessons learned, and new collaboration opportunities.

The second day focused on the PUCPR campus, featuring over 10 panels addressing challenges and opportunities for Latin American ecosystems. The closing session was led by Francisco Destino, a leadership coach, who shared valuable insights on the role of entrepreneurs in regional transformation.

The ALAS 2025 Communiqué: A Roadmap for Regional Integration

One of the most anticipated moments of the summit was the presentation of the ALAS 2025 Communiqué, a collaborative document developed by more than 600 leaders from 24 countries, proposing a shared vision for strengthening the Latin American innovation ecosystem.

The communiqué includes seven strategic recommendations and dozens of concrete projects aimed at boosting cooperation in key areas:

  • Cross-border investment and financial integration
  • Open innovation and public policies for startups
  • Talent development and entrepreneurial mobility
  • Sustainability, diversity, and social impact
  • Digital infrastructure and collaborative governance
This Summit was more than a leadership gathering: it was a historic milestone with concrete recommendations that will guide the entrepreneurial and innovative future of all Latin America. Curitiba will be remembered as the city that witnessed this new beginning,” said Junior Rodrigues.

Santa Cruz de la Sierra to Host the 2026 Edition

At the close of the event, it was officially announced that the second edition of the ALAS Summit will take place in 2026 in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia, a strategic city in the Amazon region, emerging as a hub for innovation, sustainability, and entrepreneurship.

Santa Cruz represents the spirit of Latin America’s new generation: diverse, creative, connected, and deeply committed to a sustainable future for our Amazon. In 2026, we will continue together, strengthening bridges and expanding our continental impact,” Rodrigues stated.

A Continental Movement Toward Collaboration and Impact

With this inaugural edition, the ALAS Summit establishes itself as the primary platform for cooperation, leadership, and collective building for sustainable and innovative development in Latin America, reinforcing the vision of a more connected, inclusive, and competitive continent in the face of global challenges.
