CMI marks a key 2025 milestone by receiving the BRAVO 2025 Prize, recognizing over 100 years of leadership, impact, and purpose-driven growth.
CMI, Corporación Multi Inversiones, a leading multigenerational company with operations across 15 countries in Latin America and the United States, marked a major milestone in 2025 by receiving the prestigious BRAVO 2025 Prize. Presented by the Council of the Americas (COA), this recognition highlights CMI’s more than 100 years of business leadership, regional impact, and long-term vision.
The award was formally presented to Juan José Gutiérrez Mayorga, President Chairman of CMI Alimentos and Chairman of the Board of Del Real Foods, and Felipe Bosch Gutiérrez, President Chairman of CMI Capital, during the 30th anniversary gala of the BRAVO Business Awards 2025.
A Century of Vision, Impact, and Commitment
CMI’s journey began over 100 years ago in Guatemala as a family-owned poultry and milling business. Today, it stands as a major multinational corporation employing over 50,000 people and operating more than 3,500 restaurants and retail outlets. This includes 137 Pollo Campero locations in the United States.
CMI leads strategic sectors such as food production, renewable energy, real estate development, and financial services across Latin America and the U.S.
Juan José Gutiérrez Mayorga expressed, “Receiving this award is an honor we share with our collaborators. It recognizes generations committed to purposeful business, focusing on innovation, sustainability, employee well-being, and community care.”
Driving Sustainable Growth Through Business Divisions
CMI’s two business groups, CMI Foods and CMI Capital, continue to drive investments and projects that generate employment and promote sustainable development throughout Central America and the United States. Strategic moves such as the acquisition of Del Real Foods and the continued expansion of the Pollo Campero brand have strengthened CMI’s presence and relevance in the North American market.
Felipe Bosch Gutiérrez highlighted, “This award reflects our commitment to long-term value creation. At CMI, we believe business must transcend time, and this recognition inspires us to continue fulfilling our corporate purpose by generating life-changing opportunities with a family-centered warmth.”
Social Impact and Legacy Through Fundación Juan Bautista Gutiérrez
The award also acknowledges the work of Fundación Juan Bautista Gutiérrez, CMI’s social arm, which has positively transformed thousands of lives. The foundation promotes programs in education, health, nutrition, and food security, embodying the founding family’s legacy and values that continue to guide the corporation.
Celebrating Business Leadership at the BRAVO Awards
The 30th BRAVO Awards brought together multinational executives, government leaders, entrepreneurs, and investors to recognize organizations driving economic growth and social progress across the Americas. Alongside CMI, companies such as Mercado Libre, Embraer, and FedEx were also honored for their transformative impact and forward-looking leadership.
Since 1995, the Council of the Americas has recognized more than 200 leaders and companies that shape the region’s development. CMI’s recognition in 2025 reinforces its role as a catalyst for economic growth with social impact, demonstrating how ethical leadership and long-term vision can create lasting value across generations.
Today, CMI continues to be guided by Juan José Gutiérrez Mayorga (President Chairman of CMI Alimentos), Felipe Bosch Gutiérrez (President Chairman of CMI Capital), and Juan Luis Bosch Gutiérrez (Chairman of the Board), reaffirming their commitment to creating opportunities that positively change lives, grounded in family values and long-term purpose.
