Codejobs Plans International Expansion After US$40 Million Funding Round led by Kleiner Perkins

Codejobs has secured a US$40 million investment from Silicon Valley venture capital firm Kleiner Perkins, a milestone that positions the startup for accelerated growth as it expands its technology platform, strengthens its artificial intelligence capabilities, and increases its presence in international markets.

Kleiner Perkins Takes a Major Stake in the Startup

Founded by Brazilians and incorporated in Delaware, United States, Codejobs operates a platform that connects technology professionals with international job opportunities, particularly with companies based in the U.S.

The investment from Kleiner Perkins, known for backing companies such as Google, Amazon, and Spotify in their early stages, will result in the venture capital firm acquiring a 48% stake in the company.

The funding is expected to support product development, AI initiatives, and the startup’s international expansion strategy.

Now the focus is on executing our growth plan. We have already achieved a lot, but we believe we can transform Codejobs into a global brand.

With the transaction, Kleiner Perkins will also join the company’s strategic committee and participate in key business decisions moving forward.

Expanding Beyond Latin America

Codejobs plans to strengthen its operations in Europe and Asia while increasing its presence across emerging Latin American markets, including Mexico, Colombia, and Argentina.

The company was created to address a growing need among U.S. businesses seeking experienced software developers for remote positions. By focusing on mid-level and senior professionals, the platform helps companies access talent without the complexities associated with visa sponsorship.

According to co-founder Cláudio Vinícius dos Santos, Latin America has become an increasingly important source of qualified technology professionals for companies facing talent shortages.

There is a significant challenge in hiring qualified professionals, and Latin America has become an important channel for meeting that demand.

A Subscription-Based Hiring Model

Unlike traditional recruitment firms, Codejobs operates under a subscription model where professionals pay for access to international job opportunities.

Candidates can choose from plans starting at US$2.99 for 14 days or a monthly subscription priced at US$4.99.

For employers, pricing varies according to the position being filled, with fees generally ranging between US$750 and US$1,500.

The company emphasizes that its business model differs from conventional recruiting services because it does not receive commissions from successful hires.

Professionals pay to access opportunities, and we do not participate financially in the hiring process.

Growth Targets and User Expansion

Codejobs currently reports approximately 58,000 paying users, with 77% of them located in Brazil.

The company generates monthly revenue of around $195,000 and operates with a team of 17 employees distributed between Brazil and the United States.

Following the new investment, management has set an ambitious objective: reaching one million users by the end of 2027.

AI and Technology at the Center of the Strategy

As competition for global technology talent continues to grow, Codejobs plans to invest heavily in technology and artificial intelligence to improve its platform and support future expansion.

The latest funding round provides the resources needed to pursue that vision while scaling operations across multiple regions.

With new strategic backing from one of Silicon Valley’s most recognized venture capital firms, Codejobs is entering its next phase focused on international growth, platform development, and expanding access to global opportunities for technology professionals.
