EY House, the new sustainability and innovation hub launched by EY in Belém, Brazil, aims to accelerate climate action through collaboration, science, and long-term business solutions. The space will serve as a central meeting point for leaders and decision-makers ahead of COP30, which will take place in the same city from November 10 to 21, 2025.

A hub for collaboration and climate innovation

Designed as a multisectoral space, EY House will host strategic debates and cross-sector dialogues aligned with COP30’s Action Agenda. The initiative seeks to bring together stakeholders from key industries driving the transition toward a low-carbon economy, from finance and infrastructure to agriculture and biodiversity.

EY House was conceived as a co-creation space, not just a forum for discussion. Our role is to connect strategic sectors and develop collaborative solutions that embed sustainability into business models,” said Ricardo Assumpção, Sustainability & ESG Leader and Chief Sustainability Officer, EY Latin America.

Aligned with COP30’s six key pillars

EY House’s programming will run throughout the COP30 conference, following its six main themes:

  • Energy, industry, and transport transition
  • Forests, oceans, and biodiversity
  • Agriculture and food systems
  • Cities, infrastructure, and water
  • Human and social development
  • Cross-cutting issues such as bioeconomy and sustainable finance
EY supports this agenda through EY House as a strategic platform to strengthen Brazil’s climate ambition,” stated Luiz Sergio Vieira, CEO of EY Brazil. “This integrated approach ensures that COP30 drives tangible, collective implementation that extends beyond the conference itself.

Five priorities shaping the next decade

The hub’s discussions will focus on five long-term priorities: sustainable infrastructure, resilient cities, natural capital, circular economy, and sustainable supply chains, all underpinned by decarbonization and sustainable finance.

Key sectors such as mining, energy, infrastructure, agribusiness, and financial services will play a central role, with participation from EY professionals and key industry representatives.

Collaboration is at the heart of what we do because sustainability requires diverse perspectives and expertise,” said Daniela Retana, Senior Manager of Sustainability Services at EY Central America, Panama, and the Dominican Republic. “That spirit will be reflected in EY House.

Built for sustainability and local legacy

Located in Belém’s cultural and hotel district, the 3,000 m² EY House was built with a strong focus on environmental responsibility. The facility integrates solar power, water reuse systems, waste recycling, renewable materials, and modular construction techniques to reduce its environmental footprint.

After COP30, the space will become the new headquarters of the Secretariat of Indigenous Peoples of the State of Pará, leaving a lasting social and environmental legacy for the region.

The transition of EY House to the Secretariat reinforces our commitment to socio-environmental development, contributing to the bioeconomy and strengthening local communities,” Assumpção added.

A collaborative effort backed by key partners

The project is supported by organizations such as Bradesco, Votorantim Cimentos, CBA Alumínio, MIT, Amcham, Aya Earth Partners, Votorantim Reservas, Banco Votorantim, World Climate Foundation, and Future Climate. Together, these partners aim to position EY House as a catalyst for action, collaboration, and sustainable growth across Latin America.
