FINNOSUMMIT Challenge 2025: Investment Within Everyone’s Reach
The FINNOSUMMIT Challenge 2025, organized by FINNOSUMMIT and presented by Banamex, looks for solutions that make saving and investing simpler, more guided, and more accessible.

Accessing investment products in Latin America remains a barrier for millions. But as digital platforms gain traction, there is also growing room for solutions that make saving and investing simpler, more guided, and more accessible.
With this goal in mind, the FINNOSUMMIT Challenge 2025 returns, organized by FINNOSUMMIT and presented by Banamex. This year’s edition seeks the most promising wealthtech startups developing user-centered technologies aimed at expanding financial inclusion in Mexico and across the region. The theme, “Beyond Investment,” calls for going beyond the financial product, focusing on tools that build trust, promote education, and empower more people to build wealth.
A new call to action for fintech innovation
Only 3.4% of Mexicans invest in long-term financial products, according to Mexico’s 2024 National Survey on Financial Inclusion. While this low participation reflects a long-standing challenge, the rise of digital platforms is shifting behavior: 10.4% now invest online, and 81% of regional investment fintechs are integrating AI to deliver more personalized financial solutions.
Against this backdrop, FINNOSUMMIT and Banamex are calling on fintech startups working in wealth management, customer acquisition, data-driven financial advice, and savings tools to present innovative solutions that democratize access to investment products in Mexico and across Latin America.

“There is tremendous potential to reshape how people invest in the region,” said Andrés Fontao, CEO of FINNOSUMMIT. “Startups can address key gaps, such as financial literacy, trust, and access, and offer tools that truly empower investors.”
Technology and talent to drive inclusion
Under the theme “Beyond Investment”, this edition of the FINNOSUMMIT Challenge focuses on high-impact solutions that apply AI, advanced analytics, and human-centered design to improve the investment experience. The goal: to make savings and wealth-building tools more inclusive, intuitive, and widely adopted.
Yet, according to a recent FINNOSUMMIT survey, investor behavior remains paradoxical. While 31% are motivated by the autonomy of investing through digital platforms, an equal percentage feels uneasy about the lack of expert guidance. This tension underscores the need for hybrid solutions that combine tech with human support.
“The talent and the technology already exist,” said Jenny Ramírez Bribiesca, Director of Digital Transformation – Investments at Banamex. “What’s missing is visibility and access. Through this challenge, Banamex joins FINNOSUMMIT to highlight solutions that make investing transparent, guided, and truly accessible for all. It’s not just about innovation, it’s about financial inclusion.”
