Impacta Miami Softlanding Program: expand your startup to USA

Impacta Miami Softlanding Program is back. The Latin American venture capital fund Impacta VC, known for its focus on social and environmental impact, has announced the second edition of this initiative, which aims to support 15 startups from the region in expanding to the U.S., with Miami as their point of entry.

Organized in collaboration with Project 97, a strategic partner of Impacta VC, the program includes a two-week immersion in Miami, following an online preparation stage. This softlanding experience is designed to equip startups with the tools, knowledge, and network they need to navigate the U.S. market effectively.

A program built for startups with global ambitions

The Impacta Miami Softlanding Program is targeted at Latin American startups seeking to internationalize and connect with North American investors.

  • Applications are open until September 15
  • The online preparation module begins on September 29
  • The in-person phase in Miami kicks off on October 27, running for two weeks.

The program debuted in 2024 with a strong response:

  • Nearly 40 startups applied
  • After a round of one-on-one interviews, 13 were selected. 12 from Chile and one from Colombia.

These startups reported combined revenues of USD 6.3 million in 2024, and all had open investment rounds or plans to raise capital soon.

According to Catalina Taricco, COO and CMO of Impacta VC and program director, “The experience, results, and feedback from the first edition were incredibly rewarding. The need for a softlanding program is clear, and we’re excited to launch this second edition with even more motivation and passion to support these companies in their growth.”

Miami: a strategic gateway for LatAm startups

Matías Barbero, venture partner at Impacta VC and founder of Project 97, added: “Miami has become the natural bridge between Latin America and the U.S., and 2024 proved that our startups are ready to compete globally. This new edition builds on that momentum, helping founders refine their positioning, attract capital, and connect with key ecosystem players.

He emphasized that the program helps founders gain a deep understanding of what it takes to succeed in the U.S. and accelerates their ability to navigate the local investor landscape.

How to apply

The application fee for the program is USD 5,000. However, startups based in Chile may be eligible for one of 10 special scholarships. Startups interested in applying can do so at their official website.
