Nuvia, a Brazilian startup developing AI agents for sales, has raised US$1.8 million in a funding round led by Latin America-focused funds Amador Capital and Nascent. The round also included existing investor NXTP,, as well as Crivo Ventures, Delusional Capital, and Spectra Investimentos through scouts.

Nuvia plans to accelerate its expansion in Latin America

Founded in 2024, Nuvia is focused on developing AI agents that can support sales and customer service operations across multiple channels. Its platform integrates WhatsApp, Instagram, voice, web and email, while also connecting with CRMs and other corporate tools.

The company is led by John Paz, former Brazil general manager at fintech Pomelo, who serves as CEO, alongside Antero Silva, CTO, and Arthur Sorelli, CRO.

With the new funding, Nuvia plans to accelerate its go-to-market strategy in Brazil and other Latin American countries facing similar operational challenges.

“Healthcare is a sector where we have very strong cases, with Sami Saúde and Fiibo. In retail, we also have some great cases. Our focus is always on sectors with high-volume customer service needs, where there is a need for quoting, triage, qualification and support,” said John Paz, CEO and co-founder of Nuvia, in an interview with Startups.

Startup previously raised US$1.7 million

The company's latest funding round follows an approximately US$1.7 million investment raised in April 2025. That round was led by Latin American fund NXTP and U.S.-based Gilgamesh Ventures, with participation from 1616 Ventures, LASP Capital and the a16z Scout Fund.

According to Paz, that previous investment was primarily focused on validating Nuvia's thesis: centralizing the sales and support journey within a single platform while maintaining more context around customer interactions.

Over the following year, the startup validated this approach by combining operational growth with the development of use cases across different industries.

The new funding will have two main objectives: continuing the development of the platform and expanding the company's sales and marketing teams.

From chatbots to AI agents

The new investment comes as Nuvia continues to evolve its product offering. Rather than operating as a chatbot limited to pre-programmed responses, the startup is developing agents designed to understand company processes and execute different stages of an operation.

“The big difference is that it is not a bot. It is an AI that understands all of the company's processes and creates flows ranging from simple to complex,” Paz explained.

This approach is based on the idea of maintaining context throughout the customer's journey, even when interactions move between different communication channels.

WhatsApp remains Nuvia's main channel

WhatsApp continues to be Nuvia's primary platform channel, although the company has been expanding its presence across other communication channels.

Its platform connects WhatsApp and Instagram with voice, web and email, as well as CRMs and other corporate tools. The goal is for the AI agent to maintain the context of an interaction even when the customer journey moves from one channel to another.

With the new US$1.8 million round, Nuvia will focus on further developing its platform while expanding its sales and marketing capabilities to support its go-to-market strategy in Brazil and Latin America.
