Gedanken secures US$ 2.2M to scale risk and onboarding technology
The round was led by Citrino Ventures, the corporate venture capital fund manager backed primarily by capital linked to TOTVS. The deal also includes participation from Abseed, an existing investor, while Caravela remains on the cap table.
The company develops technology focused on risk management, supplier validation, and counterparty onboarding, serving a client base of more than 280 companies, with over 2 million supplier and counterparty analyses and approximately 400,000 active users.
Strategic alignment with the TOTVS ecosystem

According to Lucas Madureira, Co-CEO of Gedanken, the partnership is designed to expand the company’s reach across organizations of different sizes by leveraging shared clients and complementary products.
“There is strong synergy with the TOTVS ecosystem. We already have several clients in common and complement many TOTVS solutions, from ERPs to HR tools, significantly improving onboarding and risk management processes for companies of all sizes. Citrino Ventures’ entry will help us penetrate the TOTVS universe and reach companies we currently don’t have the sales force to access,” said Madureira.
Investment priorities: AI, operations, and onboarding experience

The capital will be directed toward developing AI-powered features, expanding operations, and refining corporate onboarding workflows. Gedanken aims to bring the corporate experience closer to the simplicity of B2C platforms.
Taís Malta, Co-CEO, described the vision:
“Our goal is for a company to be approved by any client in just a few clicks, with documentation captured and analyzed automatically. The GCertifica platform reduces risk and cost, increases competitiveness, and democratizes access to the B2B market. We are transforming onboarding, risk management, and supply chain sustainability through automation and intelligence.”
From reactive compliance to proactive risk management
Gedanken’s solutions monitor risks related to legal compliance, labor issues, environmental exposure, financial health, and reputational factors across suppliers and business partners.
Madureira noted a shift in customer behavior:
“Initially, we were mainly hired after major incidents reported in the media, when reputational damage had already occurred. We grew quickly, largely through referrals from board members at large corporations. Today, more companies with strong management teams are capturing value by adopting the platform proactively.”
A platform built to scale across the B2B market
With backing from a CVC fund tied to one of Brazil’s largest enterprise software ecosystems, Gedanken is positioning itself to expand access to automated, intelligent onboarding and risk governance for companies of all sizes—moving compliance from a reactive necessity to a strategic advantage.
