Impacta VC Wins Key Ecosystem Award at ACVC Summit 2024
At the ACVC Annual Summit 2024, Impacta VC Receives Peer Award for Contributions to the Entrepreneurial Ecosystem.
Santiago, November 24, 2024 – For the first time, the venture capital fund was honored with the award in the category of "Key Player in the Development of the National Entrepreneurship and Investment Ecosystem".
Impacta VC, a venture capital firm focused on social and environmental impact, was recognized by its peers at the Chilean Venture Capital Association (ACVC) with the award for "Key Player in the Development of the National Entrepreneurship and Investment Ecosystem."
As part of the second edition of the ACVC Summit, which brought together key players from Chile's entrepreneurial ecosystem and international investors, Impacta VC earned this accolade based on its strong performance across several criteria: investment activity; measurable impact; influence among peers, in the market, and internationally; and its ability to shape public policy, among other factors.
The ACVC awards, presented for the first time this year, included five categories. The winners were as follows:
- “Exit of the Year” – Manutara Ventures
- “Key Player in the Development of the National Entrepreneurship and Investment Ecosystem” – Impacta VC
- “Most Innovative Thesis” – Ganesha Lab
- “Ad_Venture Women” – CMPC Ventures
- “Best Partner” – Wayra
"It is an honor to receive this recognition from our peers. It feels great to know that others value what we are doing. This award is for our team – to tell them that all their sacrifices are worth it. We will continue working hard to deserve this recognition every year," said David Alvo, CEO and founder of Impacta VC.
The selection process began with an open call to ACVC's 75 members to nominate candidates for each category, accompanied by a description of the criteria for each. Members could nominate themselves or other organizations, providing reasons for their selections. The ACVC board then reviewed the nominations and votes to identify finalists based on the established criteria. The final decision was made through a peer voting process among the members, ensuring a participatory and transparent selection.
The ACVC award to Impacta VC coincided with the inauguration of Impactaland, an investment hub hosted during the ETMDay from November 21–23. This event brought together the Impacta team, distinguished guests, and major international VC funds.
