Kayyak Ventures led a USD11M Series A+ Investment for Rankmi, Funding Bold AI-First Transformation
Rankmi celebrates 10 years with $11M in Series A extension, a rebrand, and an AI-First strategy to transform people management across Latin America.

Rankmi, the leading People Management platform in Latin America, marks its tenth anniversary by achieving three major milestones: closing an $11 million extension of its Series A round, unveiling a refreshed brand identity, and consolidating an AI First model that places Artificial Intelligence at the core of its strategy.
Fueling Regional Expansion and Innovation
The new capital injection, led by Kayyak Ventures and BID Lab (Inter-American Development Bank), will strengthen Rankmi’s expansion across Latin America.
“We’re consolidating our regional presence with a strong focus on supporting more organizations in their digital transformation of people management,” said Enrique Besa, CEO and co-founder of Rankmi. “Having strategic partners like Kayyak Ventures and IDB Lab allows us to accelerate our growth and reinforce our leadership position in the region.”
From Kayyak Ventures, Manuel Sescosse highlighted the company’s impact potential:
“There’s enormous room in Latin America for Rankmi to transform people management. Many organizations still struggle with manual and fragmented processes, and that’s where Rankmi stands out, with robust technology, artificial intelligence, and a people-centered approach.”
Introducing Contractors: A Game-Changer for Global Payroll Management
As part of this new phase, Rankmi is launching Contractors, a unique solution that enables organizations to pay employees and contractors across multiple countries from a single platform. Integrated with VitaWallet, it guarantees fast and secure transfers, eliminating the complexity of fragmented payment processes.
With over US$1 million already processed, Contractors has quickly positioned itself as a product with no direct competition. The solution is currently available in Chile, Peru, Mexico, and other Latin American markets, as well as in Europe and Asia.
A New Brand for a New Era

The funding milestone is accompanied by a rebranding that introduces a modern logo and visual identity, symbolizing Rankmi’s evolution and its vision for the future: to co-build the next era of people management, where technology and AI drive both well-being and productivity.
“In these ten years, we’ve shown that people management is not just an administrative function but a strategic lever for organizational success,” said Felipe Cuadra, co-founder and CHRO of Rankmi. “Our new brand represents innovation and purpose — putting people at the center.”
Rankmi’s Vision: The AI-First Future of People Management
Founded in Chile in 2015, Rankmi emerged to replace rigid HR software with agile, human-centered solutions. A decade later, the company serves over 2 million users across multiple countries in Latin America and continues to strengthen its position as the region’s leading AI-First People Management platform.
Looking ahead, Rankmi projects that by 2026, up to 75% of its codebase will be powered by AI, reinforcing its mission to become the world’s most advanced and people-centric HR technology solution.
