Venezuela Tech Week will take place in Caracas from May 11 to 13, 2026, as a new platform designed to connect international investors, founders, corporates, and policymakers with one of Latin America’s most underexplored markets for innovation and growth.

Latin America Venture Capital Rebounds in 2025

According to Cuantico VP and Startuplinks, venture capital activity across Latin America reached US$4.126 billion in 2025, representing a 14.3% increase year-over-year and the highest investment volume since 2022. Early-stage funding also accelerated, rising 31.9%, signaling that capital has returned to the region with greater discipline and selectivity.

As investors search for markets where early entry can generate structural advantages, Venezuela is increasingly being viewed as a potential opportunity.

Why Venezuela Is Drawing Attention

With a population of 30 million people, a dollarized operating economy, and sectors such as fintech, logistics, HealthTech, and proptech showing strong demand and low technology penetration, Venezuela presents characteristics that many investors seek in emerging markets.

The country’s startup ecosystem is also showing signs of maturity. Ridery has expanded regionally in urban mobility, while local funds such as Square One Capital, Fivenca, and Venezuela Mobility Ventures are already backing early-stage companies.

In addition, Venezuela continues to produce technology talent that has worked with global companies for years.

A Platform Built for Investment and Expansion

Venezuela Tech Week was created to bridge the gap between the local ecosystem and international capital markets.

From May 11 to 13, 2026, Caracas is expected to host between 800 and 1,000 selected attendees, including venture capital and private equity funds, technology founders, corporations, and financial institutions.

Rather than a mass-scale conference, organizers position the gathering as a transactional platform focused on investment decisions, market entry, and business expansion.

Venezuela Tech Week seeks to position the country as a strategic meeting point between entrepreneurs, international capital, and public policy leaders, generating real opportunities for investment, innovation, and expansion,” said Patricia Zarraga, CEO of Venezuela Tech Week.

The II International Entrepreneurs Congress will participate as a strategic co-organizer.

Growing Investor Interest in the Region

According to the release, 47% of active fund managers in Latin America plan to increase positions during 2026 and 2027, highlighting renewed appetite for expansion opportunities across the region.

For investors seeking markets where timing can create long-term advantages, Venezuela Tech Week aims to open that door. Those interested in attending can register through the official event page or throught Luma.
