Votorantim Cimentos, a Brazilian multinational specialized in the production of construction materials, has secured R$75.5 million (approximately US$14.3 million) in financing from the National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES).

According to the company, the resources will support innovation and operational modernization initiatives at its facilities across Brazil's South, Southeast, and Central-West regions.

Financing focused on innovation and operational efficiency

The investment will be used to implement technological and operational improvements aimed at increasing the efficiency, productivity, competitiveness, and sustainability of Votorantim Cimentos' operations.

The financing is part of the company's efforts to modernize its operations through improvements in technology and processes across its units in the three Brazilian regions.

Votorantim Cimentos' construction materials portfolio

Founded in 1936, Votorantim Cimentos operates in the construction materials sector, with a portfolio that includes cement, concrete, mortar, lime, aggregates, grout, finishing products, plasticizers, additives, and waterproofing products.

In addition to its construction materials business, the company has operations involving agricultural solutions, logistics, sustainable waste management and disposal, and a solutions ecosystem for retail.

Operations across nine countries

Votorantim Cimentos has a workforce of more than 13,000 professionals and operates in nine countries across Latin America, North America, Europe, and Asia.

Its presence includes four Latin American markets: Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, and Bolivia. In North America, the company operates in the United States and Canada, while its European operations are located in Spain and Luxembourg. The company also has operations in Turkey, in Asia.

Revenue reached R$29.4 billion in 2025

In 2025, Votorantim Cimentos reported consolidated global net revenue of R$29.4 billion, representing a 9% increase.

The new BNDES financing will be directed toward innovation and operational modernization initiatives in Brazil, with a focus on technological and operational improvements across the company's facilities.
