Colombian Startup, Yuno Secures US$45M to Build an AI Operating System

Yuno has raised US$45 million to develop an AI-native operating system designed to address one of the biggest challenges in global financial services: connecting the fragmented payment and banking infrastructure that businesses rely on across different markets.

Building Infrastructure for Global Money

Global payments and banking remain highly fragmented, with businesses navigating thousands of local systems, providers, regulations, and integrations. For years, addressing this complexity required adding more engineers, integrations, and operational resources, without creating a truly global solution.

Yuno is approaching the problem through artificial intelligence. Its platform is designed to use AI models to read regulations, monitor providers, and optimize payment routes across markets, while providing the infrastructure required to manage global money flows.

The company describes its platform as an “AI-native operating system for global payments and financial services.

From Latin America to 190+ Countries

Yuno began in Latin America, a market the company describes as one of the most complex payment environments in the world.

Today, its infrastructure connects more than 1,000 payment methods and over 460 integrations across 190+ countries.

The platform is already used by global companies including:

  • McDonald’s
  • inDrive
  • GoFundMe
  • NetEase Games
  • Whop
  • Crypto.com
  • and Rappi, which rely on Yuno to direct their payment flows.

Yuno operates above payment providers and does not enter the flow of funds. According to the company, its intelligence is designed to serve the customer rather than generate revenue from processing margins.

AI-Powered Payments Management

One of the first applications built on Yuno’s operating system is Payments Concierge, an agent that allows merchants to manage payments using natural language.

The company sees this as an initial step toward a broader agentic model in which AI agents can eventually operate payment infrastructure autonomously.

This approach reflects Yuno’s vision for an infrastructure layer capable of supporting global payments, banking, and the emerging agentic commerce ecosystem.

Yuno’s US$45M Funding Round

The US$45 million round was led by Javier Perez and Global PayTech Ventures.

The financing also received backing from Andreessen Horowitz, Tiger Global, QuantumLight, Nik Storonsky, Monashees, GrowthX Capital, Further, Rasmal Ventures, Kaszek, and Endeavor Catalyst.

The company thanked its investors, customers, and its global team for supporting the next stage of its development.

Yuno is now focused on continuing to build its infrastructure for companies operating across global payments, banking, and agentic commerce.
