Bliss, a startup focused on transforming how health insurance is sold to small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs), has secured $11 million in fresh funding to accelerate its expansion and deepen its technology capabilities.

Funding round backed by major investors

The round was led by Kfund and Grupo Bradesco, with additional participation from Actyus and Clocktower Ventures.

These new investors join existing backers Canary, which led a US$1.9 million (R$10 million) pre-seed round in 2022, and SpeedInvest, which participated in a subsequent seed round.

Expansion beyond São Paulo and focus on technology

According to the company, the new capital will be primarily used to expand operations beyond São Paulo into other major Brazilian cities, including Rio de Janeiro and Brasília.

At the same time, Bliss plans to strengthen its product and engineering teams, aiming to help clients streamline processes through artificial intelligence.

Growth, profitability, and market traction

Although Bliss has not disclosed revenue figures or the number of companies it serves, the startup reported reaching breakeven by the end of 2025. It also achieved more than US$58 million (R$300 million) in premiums, representing a threefold increase compared to the previous year.

The company attributes this growth to the increasing adoption of AI across its internal operations, which has enhanced efficiency and scalability.

AI agent “Fátima” drives efficiency and reduces fraud

Bliss’s core offering is built around an AI-powered solution designed for B2B insurance brokers serving SMEs. At the center of this platform is “Fátima,” an AI agent that automates operational tasks traditionally handled manually.

This automation allows brokers to reduce time spent on repetitive processes, improve productivity, and minimize fraud in insurance sales. As a result, brokers can focus more on client relationships while increasing sales performance.

Today, the reliance on manual processes is one of the biggest bottlenecks in health insurance distribution. Bliss is inevitable, driven by advances in AI and cost pressures in the sector. We remove repetitive operational tasks so humans can focus on relationships, trust, and value creation with clients,” said Fernando Gonçalves, co-founder and CEO of Bliss, in a statement.

According to Gonçalves, who previously led product initiatives at Nubank, the platform enables brokers to increase their sales volume by four to five times within the second year of using the solution.

A large and underpenetrated market opportunity

Bliss is operating in a market with significant growth potential. Brazil’s health insurance industry generates approximately US$58.25 billion (R$300 billion) annually, yet only about 25% of the population has coverage.

This gap highlights a substantial opportunity for expansion, particularly as digital solutions and AI-driven platforms make insurance distribution more efficient and accessible.
