This tenth edition not only marks a celebration of a decade of gatherings, but also highlights Peru’s consolidation as a key player in the regional venture capital sector.
Venture Capital on the Rise in Peru
In recent years, the venture capital landscape in Peru has evolved significantly. According to figures from the Peruvian Seed and Early-Stage Investment Association (PECAP), over $257 million have been invested in Peruvian startups over the past three years. At a regional level, Peru was one of the few countries, alongside Argentina and Colombia, that saw an increase in investment during 2024, despite a challenging economic context.
A Latin American Ecosystem in Recovery
PVCC 2025 arrives at a pivotal moment for venture capital in Latin America. According to the Latin America Venture Capital Report 2025, the region still faces liquidity challenges, with only 79 exits recorded from VC-backed companies in recent years.
Even so, the data shows signs of gradual recovery: Brazil led the region with $1.7 billion in VC investment, followed by Mexico with $792 million, Argentina with $418 million, and Colombia with $353 million during 2024. These figures suggest a positive trend toward stabilization in the sector.
A Decade of Driving Innovation from Peru
This tenth edition of PVCC will take place as part of Peru Tech Week 2025, which runs from September 29th to October 5th. More than 1,200 leaders from the entrepreneurial ecosystem are expected to gather at the ZUM Auditorium at the University of Lima to participate in panels, talks, and networking sessions.
PVCC is set to be the most relevant meeting point for venture capital and tech leaders in the region, positioning Lima as one of Latin America’s most dynamic hubs for innovation.
