NTT DATA Business Solutions Expands in Brazil Through Acquisition of SPRO IT Solutions

NTT DATA continues to strengthen its presence in Latin America through strategic growth initiatives. Its SAP-focused subsidiary, NTT DATA Business Solutions, has announced the acquisition of Brazilian firm SPRO IT Solutions, reinforcing its position in the agribusiness technology segment.

NTT DATA Business Solutions to Acquire SPRO IT Solutions in Brazil

NTT DATA Business Solutions, a global IT service provider headquartered in Bielefeld, Germany, has reached a definitive agreement to acquire SPRO IT Solutions, a São Paulo, based SAP provider specialized in the agribusiness industry.

The transaction is pending approval from Brazil’s Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE), after which it will be formally completed. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

As part of the acquisition, SPRO will become a subsidiary of NTT DATA Business Solutions, Serviços de Tecnologia Ltda. in Brazil, while continuing to operate independently under the brand “SPRO, an NTT DATA Company.”

Strengthening the SAP Customer Portfolio in Agribusiness

The integration of SPRO will add approximately 70 customers to the portfolio of NTT DATA Business Solutions. This move enhances the company’s footprint in the agribusiness sector, a key industry in Brazil, and expands its reach among cooperatives, agro-industries, seed companies, and trading firms across the country.

SPRO’s expertise spans critical production chains such as grain origination, animal protein, agricultural inputs, seeds, retail, and biofuels, enabling comprehensive SAP-based solutions across the entire agribusiness value chain.
