Chilean Fintech Blanco Secures US$ 5.2M Seed Investment Led by Krealo
Blanco raises US$5.2 million in seed funding led by Krealo to expand its AI-powered factoring platform across Latin America.
Blanco, the Chilean digital factoring fintech, has secured US$ 5.2 million in seed funding to accelerate its growth in Chile and support its expansion across Latin America. The round was led by Krealo, the venture investment arm of Credicorp, as the company advances its vision of building an AI-native financial platform for small and medium-sized businesses.
Krealo leads the investment alongside local investors
The seed round was led by Krealo, Credicorp's startup investment arm. Before the regional corporate venture capital firm joined the transaction, Blanco launched a fundraising campaign through crowdfunding platform Broota, where 160 investors from Chile's startup ecosystem participated.
Following the investment, Diego Contreras, co-founder of Xepelin, joined Blanco as CEO to lead the company's transition toward an AI-native operating model.
AI automates the entire factoring process
Founded in 2024 by Cristóbal Contreras, Diego Contreras and Andrés Hortal, Blanco currently employs 66 people, generates US$ 8.4 million in annualized revenue, and manages more than US$ 33 billion in stock.
Blanco's platform is designed to automate financing for SMEs from the moment an invoice is issued.
When a business generates an invoice, an AI agent automatically reads the document, evaluates the risk profile, determines pricing, and sends a financing proposal directly to the customer through WhatsApp. Clients can approve the offer or request modifications without requiring human intervention.
The platform offers financing starting at US$200, with no maximum funding limit.

Technology differentiates Blanco from traditional factoring
According to the company, its competitive advantage lies in the technological infrastructure behind the platform.
Blanco connects directly to Chile's Internal Revenue Service (SII) using the SME's credentials, automatically detects newly issued invoices, and executes the entire financing workflow, including onboarding, validation, risk assessment, pricing, and collections without manual processing.
According to CEO Diego Contreras, the company's long-term objective is to build the first AI-native digital bank for SMEs in Latin America.
Its product roadmap includes leasing, installment loans, guarantee policies, payment cards, and current accounts.

Strategic partnership supports regional expansion
For Blanco, Krealo's participation represents more than a capital injection. The partnership provides access to Credicorp's financial ecosystem, creating opportunities to expand into Peru and Colombia.
"We see this round as a strategic alliance to accelerate our expansion across Latin America. Having them trust Blanco as a partner for that journey fills us with gratitude, responsibility, and more conviction than ever," said Diego Contreras.
With the new funding, Blanco plans to strengthen its growth in Chile while taking its first steps into new Latin American markets, leveraging Credicorp's regional presence to reduce market entry barriers.
