Insi Ventures Opens CALL4TECH for AI and Technology Startups

After changing its name following 35 years in the market, Insi Ventures is entering a new phase as part of a broader transformation of Insi’s innovation strategy, bringing together open innovation, corporate venture capital and internal technology development.

From Meta to Insi: more than a rebranding

The name change came in June, when the Brazilian technology company formerly known as Meta reached an agreement with the U.S.-based Meta and adopted the name Insi.

However, the transition went far beyond a new brand identity. It also marked the beginning of a deeper restructuring of the company’s approach to innovation.

As part of the transformation, Insi created a new Innovation and Partnerships division connected directly to the company’s executive committee. The new structure brings together two initiatives that are now aligned under the same strategy.

On one side is the former Meta Ventures, now called Insi Ventures, which focuses on open innovation and Corporate Venture Capital (CVC) investments. On the other is the company’s internal technology team responsible for developing platforms, which has been renamed Labs.

To lead this new structure, the company also brought new professionals into the organization.

Mário Lemos, Insi’s Chief Product & Innovation Officer, joined the company shortly before its transition to the new brand. His background includes experience at Accenture and Novartis, where he created the pharmaceutical company’s innovation hub in Brazil. Before taking on the leadership of Insi’s new Innovation and Partnerships division, he was also co-founder of Gennie, a startup focused on innovation and digital transformation.

Andréia Dullius leads Insi Ventures. She holds a master’s degree in innovation from UFRGS and has experience in Silicon Valley, as well as a previous role as innovation director for the government of Rio Grande do Sul.

It is a new division, and it is not just a brand change: it comes with a business evolution,” Lemos said.

AI drives a new approach to growth and productivity

The strategy behind the reorganization is connected to a challenge that has become increasingly important for technology services companies: the changes in work and productivity driven by artificial intelligence.

According to Lemos, consulting companies have traditionally relied heavily on increasing their workforce to grow. While Insi still intends to expand its number of employees, the company is now focused on increasing revenue per headcount.

In this context, connecting with the innovation ecosystem is seen as a faster and more cost-effective way to access new capabilities and technologies.

This approach places open innovation, startup partnerships and CVC investments at the center of Insi’s broader strategy.

Insi Ventures launches CALL4TECH

The first practical initiative of this new phase is a recently opened call for open innovation led by Insi Ventures.

Called CALL4TECH, the initiative is the evolution of Bring Your SaaS, a program previously run by Meta Ventures through its fifth edition in 2025.

The new name reflects a broader scope. Rather than focusing exclusively on SaaS companies, Insi is now looking for technologies that can be effectively applied to its business.

The call is focused on three main areas.

Transforming the software development lifecycle

The first area is the transformation of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including autonomous agents, copilots and assisted automation.

Intelligent operations for BPO

The second area focuses on intelligent operations for Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), including the autonomous resolution of demands and predictive monitoring of risks.

AI for marketing, sales and market intelligence

The third focus area covers marketing, sales and market intelligence, with technologies using artificial intelligence to predict churn and automate commercial processes.

Applications are open until September 25

Applications for CALL4TECH are free and will remain open until September 25.

After the application period closes, between six and 10 startups will be selected to present their solutions during a Pitch Day scheduled for October 19.

Through this initiative, Insi Ventures is connecting its new innovation structure with technologies and startups that can potentially contribute to the company’s business and strategic priorities.
