Dapta Secures $6M as Demand for AI Sales Agents Grows Among SMBs
Artificial intelligence sales automation platform Dapta has closed a $6 million seed funding round to scale its operations across the United States and Latin America. The financing round was led by Chingona Ventures, with participation from Crew Capital, Broom Ventures, and Cometa VC, alongside prior backers 500 Global and Fen Ventures. This fresh capital brings the company's total funding to $7.4 million, following a $1.4 million pre-seed round secured in 2024.
AI Sales Agents for Small Businesses
Founded by Chief Executive Officer Nicolás Rojas, Dapta specializes in deploying artificial intelligence sales agents, branded as "Dapti", designed to instantly answer inbound leads, qualify prospects, and schedule meetings without human intervention. The technology integrates directly into customer relationship management systems and calendars, providing small- and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) with front-office automation previously reserved for enterprise-level organizations.

Funding to Accelerate Growth Across the Americas
The newly secured funds will be deployed to accelerate product development, expand market reach across the Americas, and build out the company’s internal team. According to corporate disclosures, the platform has experienced rapid commercial traction, doubling its revenue over the past six months and driving annual revenue run-rates past $4 million. Dapta currently reports more than 200,000 users, with approximately 4,000 new businesses adopting the platform weekly.
"SMBs are under enormous pressure to respond to leads instantly, and most simply don't have the staff to do it," said Samara Hernandez, founding partner at Chingona Ventures. "Dapti gives a small team the same always-on response a big company gets from a full sales staff."
Founder and CEO Nicolás Rojas emphasized the broader vision for the company, noting that autonomous front-office technology is becoming foundational for modern commerce.
"Every SMB will have AI agents just as they have physical addresses, phone numbers, and websites," Rojas stated.
Dapta’s funding highlights a broader macroeconomic and venture capital shift toward verticalized artificial intelligence agents tailored for underserved market segments. While major technology corporations and enterprise giants have rapidly adopted generative AI tools—often outpacing smaller enterprises by a factor of two, SMBs have historically faced barriers to entry due to software traditionally being developed, marketed, and supported strictly in English.
AI Adoption Creates New Opportunities for SMBs
Dapta initially found substantial product-market fit by targeting Spanish-speaking small business owners in the United States—a demographic representing one of the country's fastest-growing business segments, which expanded by 44% over a five-year period. By removing language barriers and eliminating the need for implementation engineers, the company has successfully scaled across diverse sectors, including financial services, home services, legal practices, and insurance brokerage. Market analysts note that early-stage funding rounds exceeding $5 million for vertical AI sales tools sit among top-tier valuations for the sector, reflecting investor confidence in automated customer acquisition software that can prove immediate return on investment for lean corporate teams.
