Rintin has secured a US$6.2 million funding round led by Cometa to accelerate the growth of its AI-powered B2B commerce platform in Mexico. The company plans to use the capital to expand its marketplace, strengthen logistics, increase access to embedded credit, and continue developing artificial intelligence tools that help entrepreneurs grow their businesses.
The investment round included participation from Newtopia VC, Latin Leap, Amador Holdings, and FJ Labs, alongside angel investors from the regional and global technology ecosystem, including Guillermo Rauch (Vercel), Guibert Englebienne (Globant), Adolfo Babatz (Clip), Adalberto Flores (Kueski), Josh Silverman (Etsy), Matías Woloski (Auth0), Agustín Soler and Mariano Battan (Mural), and James Gutierrez (Oportun).
Rintin Addresses the Challenges of Small Businesses Across Latin America

Millions of micro and small entrepreneurs across Latin America rely on informal commerce as their primary source of income, yet accessing inventory remains expensive, time-consuming, and risky. Many business owners must temporarily close their stores, travel long distances to wholesale markets, carry cash, and operate within fragmented supply chains.
Limited access to formal credit further constrains business growth. Most merchants purchase inventory only with the cash available at the time, restricting stock levels, reducing margins, and limiting expansion opportunities. Despite representing more than 55% of Mexico's workforce, micro and small businesses remain largely underserved by traditional financial institutions.
Gastón Greco, Co-Founder and COO of Rintin, said these challenges reflect his own upbringing.
"I grew up in Chaco, a remote province in northern Argentina. My father and I would go from distributor to distributor looking for the best prices, buying only what we could afford to open the store that day. When everything depends on cash, you spend your time surviving instead of growing your business."
AI, Embedded Credit, and Wholesale Commerce in a Single Platform
Rintin connects small retailers and independent resellers in Mexico directly with manufacturers and wholesale importers, removing traditional intermediaries from the supply chain.
Through its marketplace, entrepreneurs can purchase products from multiple suppliers in one place, access more than 15,000 SKUs, receive deliveries directly at their homes or businesses, and obtain financing designed to support business growth.
To date, more than 12,000 entrepreneurs have purchased through the platform, while over $2 million in credit has been originated.
The company's business model combines four integrated components:
- Wholesale sourcing.
- Embedded credit.
- Nationwide logistics.
- Digital sales and business management tools.

Artificial intelligence serves as the platform's core technology, helping optimize customer experience, improve customer acquisition efficiency, and analyze unstructured data to evaluate creditworthiness for entrepreneurs without formal financial histories.
At the same time, users gain access to digital capabilities—including virtual catalogs, business management software, and AI-generated sales images—that have traditionally been available only to larger companies.
Beyond technology, Rintin has also developed a community of more than 50,000 active entrepreneurs through WhatsApp groups, where members validate products, exchange experiences, and generate trusted recommendations that strengthen demand across the network.
Quinto Van Peborgh, Co-Founder and CEO of Rintin, emphasized the importance of trust in the company's model.
"From day one, we understood this is not only about technology. It is about trust. Trust is not built with code alone—it comes from being there every day, solving real problems, and caring about the customer experience."
Funding Will Support Marketplace Expansion and AI Development
Following the new investment, Rintin plans to expand its marketplace, reinforce its logistics infrastructure, increase adoption of its embedded credit product among customers, and continue building artificial intelligence tools that enhance sales and business management for entrepreneurs.
The Team Behind Rintin's Growth

Rintin is an AI-powered B2B commerce platform that enables small retailers and resellers in Mexico to source products directly from manufacturers and wholesale importers while accessing financing, logistics, and digital business tools through a single platform.
The company was founded by Quinto Van Peborgh and Gastón Greco, two Argentine entrepreneurs with experience in both technology and business development.
Van Peborgh is an economist who previously co-founded Goodfish, a healthy snack brand that expanded nationally across the United States. He also led investments at Global Founders Capital, earned an MBA from Columbia Business School, and served as an advisor to the Central Bank of Argentina.
Greco is an architect and entrepreneur who founded the Argentine footwear brand Posco, which established a presence in New York, and co-founded Micromask during the pandemic. Having grown up in a family involved in distribution and retail in Chaco, his firsthand experience shaped his understanding of the challenges facing commerce across Latin America.
